Florida Marlins Choose ShoreTel for their New Stadium
The rumors are true. ShoreTel would like to welcome the Florida Marlins to the ShoreTel Family!
The Florida Marlins are a professional baseball team based in Miami, Florida. Established in 1993 as an expansion franchise, the Marlins are a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball's National League.
The Marlins played their home games at Sun Life Stadium from their inception until 2011. In recent years, the Marlins ownership pushed for a new stadium and agreed to a plan with Miami-Dade County commissioners and the city of Miami to build a $515 million ballpark on the site where the Miami Orange Bowl once stood. As part of the deal, the Marlins will be known as the Miami Marlins starting on Nov. 11, 2011.
As part of the Marlins move to their new stadium they needed a new state-of-the-art unified communications system. The Marlins worked with their partner Black Box to purchase ShoreTel Core System, Enterprise Contact Center, ShoreTel Collaboration, and ShoreTel Mobility.
Although the season is over for the Marlins, we’d like to wish them luck next season!
(You know the San Francisco Giants bought ShoreTel and won the world series the following year. Coincidence? Maybe. But maybe ShoreTel is like a UC MVP for businesses.)
